This handsome historic American vessel is from the class that was one of the most useful and long-lasting in Coast Guard, the Active Class Patrol Boat. These capable vessels were designed for trailing the "mother ships" along the outer line of patrol during Prohibition, and gained a reputation for durability that was only enhanced by their re-engining in the late 1930’s. This one was repowered in the 1950's with GM/Cleveland mains, and has been privately owned for some time by an owner with plans to restore her to original.
