Is it necessary to remind what a Swan is ? Since 1966, the finnish shipyard Nautor's Swan is firmly placed at the forefront of the international sailing world, building sailing boats which are mentionned all over the world as the most elegant, reliable yachts never built for cruising and racing. Located on the west italian coast. Cardillo Forever (ex Solleone, Swan 68 nr 4 built in 1993), as all swans, will never be "old fashion" ! Moreover, her legnth has been extended to 71 ' with a nice transom ordered by her fist owner, Leonardo Ferragamo. Mr Ferragamo was so seduced by his yacht... that, with a group of investors, he purchased the yard five years later ! Designed and equipped for blue water cruising, and for occasional Swan Regattas, she is maintained up to date and in an excellent condition. For example, currently (june 2008) out of water in an italian yard, her owner has ordered : -a refit or replacement (when necessary) of the teack deck. -the installation of a retractable bowthruster and dedicated batteries -checking of all the standing rigging -sandblasting, epoxide treatment and antifouling on keel and hull -Replacement of the radio SSB batteries.
