Launched in May 2001, this One Off MAIA 180, created by the french designer Eric LEROUGE and built in Mauritus Island by Legend Marine Export is an ultra-modern approach to the program of entertainong 8 guests in the best of comfort with a high average speed. Her length is not used to pile on many cabins but to give space, privacy, beauty and comfortable motion. The guests enjoy 4 spacious cabins, each with private bathrooms and electrical wc. The crew's quarter consist of two double cabins with a common bathroom. They are located in front of the port hull, they are accessed by deck hatches and giving the guest privacy. Above average seakindliness was seeked with a wide beam and powerfull ends of stability, high bridge deck to avoid slamming, streamline superstructures and rounded deck edges to minimise windage. He easily takes the ground on her trouble free low aspect keels which protect her hulls, rudders and propellers and are faired into the hulls curve of area for a minimum drag. Long waterline length and semicircle sections provide good cruising speed, easy tacking and pitch damping. Her alrge and clean deck plans is much appreciated for an efficient sail handling, to sunvathe in the trampoline or to dine in the spacious cockpit. This boat offers very high standars of service with its spacious and very well equipped galley as well as its huge living/dining room. Owned by her current skipper since 2002, she is no longer chartered, but used to sail around the world with friends and family. She is expected in Australia, Adelaïde, in november 2008.
