A stunning reproduction of a classic from the golden age of yachting, 'Sunshine' exemplifies the latest ideas of racing and accommodations excellence of her time (1900). Newly built in steel in 2004, 'Sunshine' was designed by the legendary William Fife III, and yachts like her original took part in many of the classic races of the day, such as the famous 'Kaisers Cup' trans-Atlantic race which was won by the three-masted schooner 'Atlantic' with a record run that has held until just this past year, as well as many of the historic races held in Europe by the various royal houses and classic yacht clubs. William Fife designs are known for high speed and exquisite elegance, and the surviving originals are mostly carefully pampered treasures on the classic Mediterranean racing circuit. 'Sunshine' is no exception to this rule, although new-built, and is currently located in the South of France and operating as a very stylish charter yacht on the Mediterranean regatta circuit. 'Sunshines'' steel plates were rolled, cut and bent in Holland for assembly in Burma (where all the best teak comes from!). As a result, 'Sunshine' has the best in modern construction materials, as well as the outstanding woodwork you would expect in a yacht of this caliber. As this racing schooner is essentially a new-built boat, 'Sunshine' can be pushed to her utmost, while her original sisters must be carefully husbanded to prevent damage to ageing frames and other structural elements. Thus, if you are looking for a truly fast and impressive classic to drive to victory in the finest of company, look no further, 'Sunshine' should be your choice! Please have a look at the photos and available specifications, and do not hesitate to ask for additional details.
