The Swan 70 is built using modern design and construction philosophies making for a light and strong performance yacht using a glass/aramid hybrid fibre reinforced vinylester laminate with carbon reinforcements. She has a Carbon Fibre mast with four aft swept spreaders to allow for an easy short handed sail plan but also allowing for an owner requiring some serious sailing performance. The large powerful mainsail is easily controlled from the aft cockpit with a second “guest” cockpit forward for safe passage for kids and those who may not want to be involved with the sailing. The deck ergonomics have been optimised for both cruising and Stay Clam has also been designed to provide her owner with a sensible racing deck layout if required. The interior has been carefully designed to provide comfort and space when at sea and at rest. The owners cabin is aft with it’s own en suite with a walk in engine room forward. A great saloon allowing for both great relaxation with space enough for serious entertaining as required. Two guest cabins forward with a crew cabin in the fo’c’sle completes the layout. Nautor have also spent much time and effort minimising noise and vibration thought the yacht with a two stage silencing exhaust and sound insulation for the propeller to name two features employed on this yacht. For serious sailors looking to do some extended passage making at a fast and comfortable speed then the Swan 70 is very hard to beat. We were involved in the project management of this yacht when she was new and she is now only on her second owner. Needless to say, the current owner ha spent much time and effort keeping her in superb order and viewing is highly recommended. | ||
