Kokomo is the 23rd sailing yacht and the third over 50m in length built by Alloy Yachts. The 52m (171ft) fl ybridge sloop is the 14th Dubois Naval Architects vessel built by the yard. Construction commenced in August 2004 and she was launched in July 2006. Kokomo continues the steady progression in the design and construction of large, easily handled high performance sailing yachts for which Alloy Yachts has gained an international reputation. It also expands the yard’s repertoire of custom components designed and built in-house. For example, this is the fi rst yacht with the entire package of vertical and captive reel winches designed and built by Alloy Yachts. She also has a telescopic three-station passerelle designed and built inhouse. | ||
